The best thing I have done after learning basic strategy was to adopt a progressive betting system. If you win a hand you increase your bet from 1 (unit) to 2 then 3 then 5 (only if you win) then back to 1. If you lose a hand at any point you go back to 1. You are basicilly pulling your origainal 1 unit bet back at 3 and 5. You take advantage of the winning streaks and play with the casinos money. Some people go to the next step by betting 9 if they win the 5 bet.
If, for example, you are betting $10 and keep winning consecutive hands you are up to $50 and may have to double. I see a lot of people chicken out. But you have to do it. I read a very good article about positive progressive betting. It really explained nicely how it works and why it is better than all the "get rich quick schemes" like the martingale or negative progression (when you lose you bet more). One of the worst things you can do is sit there and bet the same amount all the time. Sorry I don't know where I read it. It was short and to the point.
I was lucky enough to be dealt 3 elevens against the dealers 5 or 6 the other day and won all 3. I was up to the $50 bet and I doubled down. That was the $300 I won for the day. I was lucky too!! The other big thing is bet every double down you can. If you don't take advantage of DD's you might as well stay home and mail the casino your money!! I have rambled on enough!! Good luck!!!

So let's say you go with $500. After a half hour or so, you're down $150. Now you win 2 in a row so you have $380 and you bet $30. Exactly how is that playing with the house's money?

I sit down to a $10 table with $1000 usually. I know I will usually be down before I go up. You need to grind it out till you get a good streak.

I ran the sim using SBA - 50 million hands w/BS - housEdge -.004 and guess what? Your system lost .004 of total amount wagered.CAPPERANGEL said:

Wow excellent!! Remember ZG we have advantage in blackJACK 3-2 and when you double down you count it like a part of a series. So .004 is good right? If you are a good blackjack player and used this I think you will pass the .004 mark. I also have a strategy of busting the dealer doubling up. We can talk about it if you are interested.
