The funny thing is that in most places no ones appears to know, understand or see the difference except for the very few players who are knowledgable and the casinos do not really want these players anyway. I do not only mean advantage players but also bs players who know the difference between a game with a .4 and a .6% house edge.
Soboba has taken a marginal S-17 double deck game, with no DAS and only double 10 and 11, and made it H-17, making it one of the worst DD games that pays 3/2.
Being that it is a small casino and far off the highway in an area where there are bigger casinos close to the highway and better games near Palm Springs, I think they may actually see a negative result in profits from this change. Also, they are a casino with no attraction like a hotel, spa or fancy restuarant, so their customers are only there to gamble which leads me to believe that a bigger percentage of their customers will see the difference in the rules.
