Some newbie questions

Hi, I'm a new BJ player. I have only played at a casino 3 times, since its kinda far from my house and i can't spend that much money.
Anyways I got a few questions
The game at the casino that i play at is 6D S17 not sure what % penetration but its about 1.5D left if I'm not mistake might be a bit less.
I'm fully familiar with BS since i learned it after the first time of going to the casino, but the house still has an advantage so i started learning card counting.

My question might be kinda stupid but at a table with 6 players is there a difference in where to sit. Like i didn't start counting cards at the casino yet still practicing on counting the deck fast using HI-Lo, but some people at those seats get decent cards every time while i got some low cards. i got 10+2 4 times in a row.

Also which counting system gives the player a bigger advantage Hi-Lo or KO?

Can someone link some reading material regarding how BS changes with a high/low TC.

One more thing, the casino i play at has a side bet kind of thing, when your first two cards that add up to 20 you get paid 4 to 1 of the side bet(minimum is $1 on that, max 100)
if you get A/9 You get like 9 to 1, if you get like two of the same card is 9 to 1, if you get the same card with the same face type like queen of diamons X2 you get 19 to 1 payout and if you get 2 queens of hearts and dealer has blackjack you get 1000 to 1. I was wondering if someone will be able to calculate the odds of the side bet and is it worth playing at a positive TC.

Thanks.

I don't think it makes a big difference at all because no one can predict the next card in the shoe assuming we are using ASM but for card counters it can make a difference. Card counters dont want people entering the game when the count is high. Wongers reduce people's earnings.

Where you sit makes no difference especially when playing a shoe game but when you play pitch games, it's best to sit in the center so that you can see other players card and count. If you are slow to counting cards, maybe sit on the last base since there are many gamblers who believe the action of the person in the last base will dictate the outcome of the hand. Sit on the last base and ask people for advice whilst at the same time count the cards.

For beginners, there are many suspicions (e.g. where do I seat, how many boxes should I play, how many boxes should the table play, do the actions of the person in the last base affect my winnings), but these are all suspicious myths. Not yet to mention, winning and losing streaks.

I don't think there's much of a difference where you sit but me personally, I only sit at first base. For a couple of reasons. first it might be a superstitious thing, but I want to be the first one to get a card. If the dealer has a soft 13 or something and then draws like 4 or 5 more cards all small, then I'll likely up my bet some hoping to get a 10. If it's a positive count, I'll maybe increase it a little more.

Also, sitting at first base has allowed me on numerous occasions to see cards while suffling as well as the last card in the shoe because at first base you sometimes get pushed all the way over to the right and the cut card will separate from the bottom after the dealer puts the cards in. So you can see if it's a high or low card. Not a big advantage, but nonetheless, something to help out. There was one time when I saw the last card in the shoe was an ace and the burn card was an ace as well. So that shoe was only played with 30 aces, not 32 in reality. I don't know exactly, but I'm sure that isn't a good situation for the player. I'd love to know how much your disadvantage increases in that situation. I only played a few hands of that shoe.

Proceed with caution. How large is your bankroll? Is it replenishable? You should probably put off blackjack for a while.

Not really. There are pros/cons at each seat.

Standard. Don't sweat it.

Sounds like Lucky Ladies. It can be beaten, but I don't know the indices or side count required.
