So is this Jstat count really better than other counts? I saw the youtube video and looks good, but I hear some here disagreeing. I am new to counting and have been using the revere count. Would the j stat count produce better winnings?

The "JSTAT Count" (previously known as the Fry Count) is a multi-parameter, level 2 system. As such, you can expect to win slightly more than you would with a level 1, single parameter system like High-Low. But if you want to go level 2 and/or sidecount aces there are better choices still.

If you are just learning to count, I do agree you should start with the simple stuff first.

You would be well advised to ignore these videos and the poster as many of us here are attempting to do. The count you are using is fine for the games you are playing.

It would win slightly more than Hi-Lo IF you knew indices, betting ramps for the JSTAT count. Since this stuff has never been posted on here and will never be posted on here since they don't exist. Since we all know the indices and betting ramps for Hi-Lo, Hi-Lo greatly outperforms the JSTAT COUNT

They exist. As soon as somebody other than JSTAT tells me they are planning on going into a casino and counting with those system tags, I'll post them.

Googled the Fry count and found a post by Steve Fry dated Dec. 1997 http://groups.google.com/group/rec....70e766?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q="Fry+count"+blackjack. My posts referring to JSTATII go back at least to 1996, also on the RGB newsgroup,
http://groups.google.com/group/rec....9c123/36f8d2f196e8de47?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=JSTAT. Whatever became of Fry? I've been using JSTATII successfully since 1991.

Thanks for the compliment BillytheBJkid regarding the YouTube videos. Made a few mistakes in the videos, but the overall message helps the YouTube viewers play better blackjack against the casinos. I write for the Examiner http://www.examiner.com/x-18051-San-Francisco-Blackjack-Examiner?showbio and explain blackjack in a more accurate manner, that was missing in the videos. Try reading Ken Uston's "Million Dollar Blackjack" and use his Advanced Point Count to start off. The ace side count portion of the book is excellent and Uston's writing style is very entertaining.

As for the disagreements with others on this board, all I can say is, a turtle must stick out its neck to walk. Just trying to make a difference while taking the slings and arrows along the way.

Jstat you are a JackA** !! It's one thing for you to repeatedly spew your nonsense to those of us that know better. Do not undo the good that comes from this board by issuing bad advise to newbies. They come here looking for help and you are sending them in the wrong direction. If you had read his posts you would know that he is new to counting and has already learned the balanced level 2 RPC count, which is fine for the 8 deck games that he is playing. Telling him to learn Uston advanced point count is just BS. Shame on you!

BillytheBJkid, Do not listen to this fool. The count you have learned and are using is more than adequate for the game you are playing.
Do not listen to this kook! Do not read his articles! Do not view his videos!

There is a reason why he is on an island by himself and I have yet to find one regular poster on this board that agrees with him. (not counting his nephew, of other personality or whatever it is)

You can choose not to take my advise if you wish, but please don't take the advise of this joker. Almost any one else that posts on this board would be a much better choice.

BillytheBJkid saw the videos before posting here. That's why he came here. The videos are not perfect, but the YouTube community has appreciated them with over 100,000 views. Many compliments from viewers who learned to play blackjack and were entertained by them. The articles at the Examiner are linked at the YouTube page for viewers to get a better understanding of blackjack. The saying of, "don't believe what you hear, half-believe what you read, and believe what you see" applies here after reading your foul mouth post. Most YouTube viewers sense what they see on the videos is geniune and sincere from a real ordinary Joe.

By Youtube's own stats, the average age of a youtube veiwer is 27, with over 50% being age 20 or below. The fact that you are able to scam these unknowing youngster is no great accomplishment. The fact that to my knowledge, not a single member of the blackjack community has bought your nonsense speaks in much louder volumes.

Advising a new player to learn a level 3 count with an ace side count like Uston advance point count is just assinine. Even Uston himself discribed this count as being for advanced professionals, not the casual player.

You are doing Ken and all the members of this message board a great disservice and undermining the credibility of this site by misleading new players that visit this site looking for knowledge.

p.s. I have no doubt that you are correct that people were entertained by your videos. I think most people here found them "amusing" as well.

I saw the youtube video's by typing in blackjack card counting on youtube. I thought they were interesting even though seemed not that professional. I do know that there is some argument here about how good the jstat method is. I am sticking with the revere count that I have already learned. I have won 4 out of 5 trips using it so far.

hey Jstat, do you play for a living using this count? If you are not selling this system and why do you have a video about it and why do you write for the newspaper? I would think you would want to keep it quiet. Do you work for this newspaper or play blackjack for a living?
