Streaks

Blackjack being the streaking game that it is I was wondering what is your streak of winning and losing hands in a row. I played two session the other day one session started with winning 11 hands in a row off the top of the deck. Needless to say a lot of them were small bets at negative counts. But still a winning session. I came back at night the same day and lost 12 hands in a row most of these were at high counts. That's what you call variance figure that out. All in all still a winning day.

i wanna say my streaks tend to be streaky. lol
in real play i can't remmember ever having a fantastical long win streak.
maybe some small ones like off the top when the bets were not so high.
here's a nifty streak of streaks off of the weekend warrior computer play.

Losing streaks

I know I have had 4 streaks of at least 20 straight hands, not counting pushes and also counting doubles as just losing a single hand. Perhaps 6 months ago I had my worst ever, approx 26 hands with a couple of doubles and splits mixed in, so perhaps it can be considered 30 hands. Only reason I have a strong idea of just how many hands is that it started with a long period of flat bets.

Interestingly, in 2 of the 4 sessions that included these long streaks I landed up ahead.

I also read once that in a period of 20 or 24 hours of blackjack you should have one streak of 10 straight loses.

With this streak their were no pushs or double downs in either streak. This is the first time I had ever run into a streak like this. I also was ahead after both sessions. First session was easy with 11 in a row off the top second was a real grind.

I don't really keep track. But I do know that I've lost ten hands in a row at Barona's casino's "best blackjack game in the country" (0.00% house edge). The only reason I know this is because I've only played 10 hands of it.

I had a winning streak of about 20-25 hands the other day - started at £300 and finished at £675 including a few naturals and winning all doubles and splits, needless to say I was buzzing.

I played roulette after that session for a while and ended up cashing out @ £1100.

Then the next day I encountered 3 sessions in a row that wiped out about £800 - I'm not saying I lost every hand but it was a very negative spell maybe winning 1 hand in 10 three times in a row so I lost approx 27 of 30 hands.

My biggest problem is when I get into a downwards spiral like that my mentality keeps me playing thinking it must be my turn soon and 'steaming' often makes matters worse.

Fortunately over another 2 sessions I got back from £300 to £1000 so over 5 BJ sessions and 1 Roulette session I'm £700 up.

....certainly is a rollercoaster ;)
