Surrender and Insurance

#1
Is it possible to early surrender a hand and insure it at the same time?
Is it possible to late surrender a hand and insure it at the same time?

Thanks,

You cannot do it at the same time, it is rather sequential and it depends on the correct play.

With Early surrender, you get to surrender your hand before placing the insurance bet, but you may also surrender after placing your insurance bet.

With Late surrender, you only get to surrender AFTER you have placed your insurance bet and the dealer checked whether he has a BJ or not.

Since the insurance bet is separate, can you early surrender and place an insurance bet at the same time? That way if the dealer has BJ you win half your bet and if the dealer doesn't have BJ you lose your whole bet.

I think you can, but this is a bit blatant...
