Taking a look at blackjack chips.....

I would like some inputs on my view about blackjack chips..

Before I do the below I want to get very good at blackjack playing alot of hours before I hit the casinos. Anyways..

Seems like not thinking about the value of chips helps mentaly! I noticed I can sit in several casinos and after 5+ hours of playing red chips I'll get 20 or so extra chips from what I started. By the time the night ends I would of spend $500+ and make so little!

So I tried to not think of the value of the chips but just thinking of it as a chip and it actually helped me. I want to play in a shorter amount of time and make more money. Obviously betting more makes more money and if I would of did the bottom I would of got more money than with my red chips since I was up 20 chips from what I started.

Lets say I started with 20 chips and got up by 20 chips like above I would make way more money with other chips.

20 Black chips = 2000 + 20 extra black chips = 4000
20 Green chips = 500 + 20 extra black chips = 1000
20 Red chips = 100 + 20 extra red chips = 200

Just a thought that helped me mentaly get over my red chip hump and make more money in less time!

Also practice practice practice!

Yes in the counting world of blackjack they are not chips, dollars, rupe or any of that they are just units.

It will take some of the attachment away from your cash and will be easier to deal with when you move up to higher ammounts.
For example
a single red chip ($5) is one unit where a single green ($25) at a higher table is still 1 unit. this will make it much easier to handle negative swings and not get to excited when you encounter a positive swing. At the end of the night they can go back to cash value.. unless of course its a bad night:laugh:

I think part of the reason casinos use chips is so that people don't feel like they're risking real money.

Of course
that way what i thought from the very begining and it is very well true.
it also keeps them at the tables after a win and even after a loss. The casier being in the back dosent help people either. Everything is set up for a way. Everyone says the casinos are quite stupid but i always thought the opposite

Move up to green! For some odd reason its easier for me to plunk down 3 or 4 green than the same number of red. Don't know why.
