with 2K between two people, you should be playing a wong only game. IF your IRC is -20 for 6d, then only play with an RC of -4 or better. max bets come out at RC +3 to +4. your max bets should probably be around $25 initially. min bets at RC = -4 $5-10. You must wong out of negative shoes at all costs.

on a given 3-4 hour session you should both have around $500 (or 20 max bets each).

you can both play at the same time following these guidelines as long as you are at different tables. If you are playing the same table, i.e. you call in your fiend who just wonged out of a bad shoe, the so-called "BP strategy", then both should lower max bets to $15-20.

roughly speaking with both of you playing you could expect to make around $20-$30/hour total.

if you play like this consistently, your bankroll could grow quite nicely with additional cash from deposits.

I would say with 65% to 70% penetration, you are wasting your time.

However, if you MUST play, no matter how large your bankroll becomes, you should follow these three steps:

1. WONG
2. WONG
3. WONG

Search these boards for proper entry points using KO. By wonging, you will either die of boredom waiting for good counts with shallow pen, or you will find more profitable games. Good Luck.

MS1,, Yuck

that is a lousy game, you will lose it all.:(

You should be able to find a great 6d game. What is great...s-17, das, doa, ls, rsa, free wheeling play, and a couple other thangs. I played just such a game a few days ago and they can be found.::grin:

As to bank roll, when you find a fine game, each player must kick in at least $7000, keep it to 3 players and wong the shoe. Of course the $7000 figure is not based on a $25 min game, but on a $5 to $10.

Are you doing this because of the movie 21?

I think this movie has sent alot of young wannabees to the tables:rolleyes:

Look what the silly OCC series did for motorcycle sales and choppers,

I suspect the same type of shepple response to the 21 movie, and I am for sure seeing it at the tables....alot of young, foolish losers.

They are capturing 100% of BR growth + $400/mo, so they can play to a virtual $5000 BR immediately,
assuming they can pass skills check. With wonging max bets can top out at $50 or 2x$35. zg

Those are all questions that you should know years before starting a team. If you can’t calculate your EV, how will you know how to bet your money? If you don’t know the variance, how can you be sure you won’t go broke before you make any money? If you don’t know the difference between different games, how will you know which ones to play? How will you even know if you have an advantage over the house?

Tell your buddy that it’s going to be another year or so before the team is ready to hit the casinos. Read through the FAQ and Free Counting Resources threads in this forum. Read every free article on BlackjackForumOnline.com and BJ21.com, then read through Don Schlesinger’s “Blackjack Attack”. I assume you’ve read Knock Out BJ already, but if not put that first on the list since you are using the KO system. And, of course, keep practicing until your skills are razor sharp, you have a solid game plan and you are comfortable with your earnings rate and level of risk. By then you should have close to a $7k bankroll which might earn $12 per hour if you can find better games somewhere else.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I really want to make sure you’re prepared for this before you start putting your money at risk. Probably 99.9% of people who learn card counting either go broke or play without a meaningful advantage. I’d hate to see you and your friend end up as casualties of the casinos.

As usual...

Sonny says it best! I don't know how familiar you are with this website but Sonny's advice is your "safest bet"

The only thing I could add is "ingdirect.com" or "bankrates.com".

ok thanks sonny that was a good realty check i need more practice i dont want a good swing making me think my counting is doing me any good. so practice is what the doc ordered.

one thing i wont to ask is gambling with small money just for fun but counting same time just knowing there is no advantage good practice just to be comfortable on the table and keeping the count or is that just going to make me a plopy in the long run ?
