Trop loses millions at BJ. Resorts loses at CRAPS!

Meet the Player

"In all, Johnson racked up about $15.1 million in blackjack winnings during a six-month span, although he acknowledged incurring some undisclosed losses along the way."

...

"His winning exploits at the blackjack tables have recently made the casinos wary. Johnson said he has been banned at the Caesars and Harrah's casinos in Nevada and was turned down by Resorts and Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City. Unlike the past, the casinos are no longer willing to give him a 20 percent discount on his losses or shower him with other high-roller perks, he explained."

With all of the scrutiny he is surely getting at tables, I'm surprised he is banned. Yes, the casinos have lost a lot of money to him but it would seem the variance would surely catch up to him.

I dunno how this guy is doing it, but he def has the bankroll to back up whatever "system" he's using. I actually caught a glimpse of him at the Borgata last week in the high limit room. I didn't know it was him until I saw the picture in the newspaper with his sweatshirt and Mohegan Sun hat.

Hats off to him for taking AC's money.

He said he won 4M at the Borg, IIRC. If they're still letting him play, he must be a high-rolling ploppy (and I'm sure no loss rebates, etc.)

I dunno everyone is calling him a ploppy, but nobody is that lucky. He seems to know what hes doing, and even mentions "the math" of BJ in his article. Obviously he's not counting since the casinos would have realized that right off the bat.

But does anyone believe this guy may have some type of winning strategy? Can a martingale system work if you have the proper roll, and are given infinite limits (which is what it sounds like he was given)? I just think there is more to the streak of his than luck; something doesn't make sense.

If he was a martingaler they would welcome him back with open arms.
It was just a suggestion, but seriously does anyone think there is a method to this mans playing style? I would love to watch a session of his.

His 5M win at Trop was 50 bets. You've never had a 50 unit win?

The article casually mentions losses, but didn't go into specifics. They just glorified the wins. We have no idea if he's a net winner or loser.

Suppose he won millions in a state lottery. Would you conclude he knew what he was doing?

I have already posted this so I was hesitant to be redundant but the BJ whales I have seen play at reserved tables, all 7 pips every hand at max bet. His max bet was $100,000. Thats $700,000 each round. After 6 or 7 rounds of sweep and he is up 4 or 5 million. Thats probably happens enough. Add in 3 or 4 hand splits with the dealer in rounds to spread out the sweeps, it doesnt take much to be that far ahead. He also mentioned unspecified losses. He got 20% back for some of those. He may not be to far ahead. We just dont know enough details to be sure about anything.
