true count after insurance?

#1
This is in Casino Verite.

The running count was +17. and the True count is something +5. I lost my insurance bet. and suddenly the true count jumped up to +17 as well (with the running count still at +17).

I've read a few blackjack books but i have yet to read about adjusting the true count after the loss of insurance. how exactly is it done? do i just convert the running count to true count without division?

Im using Zen count.

There are still about 3 decks left. Hence RC=17 and TC=5.

The dealer shows an ace. I bought insurance. Insurance is lost. So the dealer doesn't have a 10 underneath.

Then I moused over to see the count. it says RC=17, TC=17.

I've seen something like this happen.. I was playing with a Spanish21 game the starting count I have is -32 and at the top of the first shoe after starting the game if I check, it also reports a TC of -32 (this is with a 8 deck shoe) after the first hand the TC is correct...

but note: I have an older version of CVBJ (3) and this might not be a valid bug in the current release.. also for me it doesn't matter I usually don't check what it is sitting at at the start of a shoe before any hands are played....
