I definitely agree with you here. The better term seems like it should be matrix defined as: "A situation or set of circumstances that allows the origin or start of something".
Its a DEPARTURE MATRIX OVERLAY (on the BS) so the departure points are rightly called matrices.
DEFINITION: A matrix is defined as an ordered rectangular array of numbers.
So they are DMO matrices. We need some upgraded terminology, afterall the MITs
are now using terms like 'offset' to describe the house-edge.

DMO! Matrices! Ca'pece? zg

If you have a really high count, you would then want to split 10's. Whereas with an even count, you never want to split 10's.
Anyone have some good rules on splitting tens? Basic strategy tells you its always a bad idea but are there times where the true count is so high and the dealers up card is so low that it would be a good idea?

Look up "The Illustrious 18". This lists the 18 most profitable changes you can make, and the Hi-Lo true count where you should change.

From my personal opinion, the good rule is never split tens. As profitable as it is, it's incredibly suspicious, even if you're drunk or pretending to be drunk. Do it if you're about to leave the table.
