What do you think about this game

#1
I am from South Texas and just recently got into counting. I was wondering what any of you guys thought about this game. It is a cruise ship that goes out 2 times a dat into international waters and you can gamble for 4-5 hours a trip. I went last night and just played BS and won $40, which was lucky I admit. It is 8 deck, hand shuffled, 80-90% penetration, Surrender, DAS, Stand on all 17s, and $5-$50 limit. Do you think there might be any potential for a low roller like my self there? Anyone know what they do to counters on boats like these?
THanks for all your help,
Bosco

They escort you off the property!

Sounds like a great game. Ships usually have poor pene. zg

We sometimes go on a similar one out of Port Canaveral, FL.
That one has mostly CSM which I don't mind since I'm not a counter, just plain ole BS.
They are a lot of fun. This one is usually crowded so get a seat early. Last one I went on I parked my butt at a $5 table and didn't get up the whole time except to use the bathroom. (They will hold your spot for that as long as you leave some chips on the table).

Since we don't have any casinos nearby, at least these ships give you a chance to play. Also the one I go on is FREE and they have a free buffet of light food too. Sandwiches, salad bar, nachos, etc.

Whoa, that sounds SWEET! It stinks that they use CSM's though. I would still go, but play low limit and make sure I ate plenty of sandwiches and stuff to cover the percentage I'm gonna drop there. :D

Ships

bosco,
Was that the boat out of Port Aransas? I have been there four times. It's OK, but I prefer driving to Lake Charles. The ship only gives you four hours and I need more than that. The dealers were very good, though. I, too, want to know how you get 86'd off a ship!

Read zg's post about the Abramoff Case in Anything Else below.

Walking the gang plank might not be out of the question, old chum.
