When is Wonging Wrong?

How to Wong In?

I tried wonging in for the first time this weekend. The casino was sufficiently crowded so I could stand around without getting noticed. That presented a problem however. Typically, the tables filled up with players while I was back counting. When the count finally got good, there were no seats.

Is there anything I can do to preserve a seat at the table without sitting down early?

I have run into a conflict where I cannot seem to figure out which is in my best interest. Assuming you all know what wonging is, it is very helpful, but when does it become too noticeable? I play at a lot of smaller casinos with a few blackjack tables open at once, so if I keep wonging in and out, how noticeable is that? Is it best to do it only once or twice? Can I even sit back and wait out a few hands and jump back in? Or is it best to sit through a bad shoe and realize that this happens and just have to suck up a bad shoe once and a while. If they were larger Casinos it would be better!
Take advantage of the stereotype of what is thought of a young woman playing blackjack. You're not supposed to know the etiquette of "proper" play, so thats fine, don't play "properly". Play what just appear to be hunches, eventhough you know the real deal. Appear as if you are not paying attention and are distracted and stay out hands when needed. If you are capable to talk and still keep your count, which you should be, chat up the table to be able to distract from slight changes in BS or when you may be changing number of hands played or amount being played. More often than not a woman will be able to pull off subtle moves due to gender more easily than a man. Play to your natural strengths and you may never have to play a negative hand while never leaving the table. As well as being able to backcount tables and being welcomed in instead of cursed for jumping in. Believe me, a young lady with hidden talent at a table, has endless opportunities. Even if they think your screwed up, most players, especially men will want you there regardless of play, and a lot of the women will be disgusted enough to leave the table. All you need to do is not be shy or afraid to exploit the stereotype.

But no one else knows that........:cool:

As others have said, make it a part of your act.
I have no idea how to even pretend how to drink. I just drink a lot of water, and get up to pee a lot. That's about as good as I can make it. :( I need to work on being cool :cool:

I've never been to a casino where you can leave midshoe and re-enter the same shoe. I'd usually leave to pee or because I "had a phone call." Just make sure your phone is on vibrate so it doesn't go off while you are pretending to talk on it.

Here's one way. At the table get a drink that is clear - like a vodka tonic. Sip it very slowly. At some point (low count) get up and go to the bathroom. Take the drink with you. In the bathroom, dump it out, keeping the ice. Refill the glass with water. Take your drink back to the table. Drink it. Repeat.

Wrong to Wong, Right to Wong

When they are watching you watching the tables.
Then wonging is wrong!:joker::whip:

When they are not watching you watching the tables.
Then wonging is right!:joker::whip:

A lot of places will let you reserve a seat at a table that's about to open up (they put a little clear chip on it or something). Do that, and then get on your phone (possibly with a real person). Pace around and backcount. When the count looks good, say "look, I'm at the casino and kind of want to get some cards in before too long he-- yeah, they're about to give away my s-- I'll call you back? OK, great."
