You stated"Sometimes I hit while I had hard 17 or 18 and BUST to prevent the dealer from getting 20.

I did it and got a lot to the table."

How do you know what the dealer has in the hole and how do you know what the next few card are?

tedloc... Yes thats corrct, i draw 1 card even if i am 17 or 18. I will tell you about my won method,

As I said i bet on two boxes and I use my sense to see all faces and numbers (not counting, i don't really know anything about counting).

Real Example: if i have hard 17 on the 1st box I have and 20 on the 2nd box and the dealer have 10, since i am in the last base i notice all cards drawn and i know all the cards in the previous round and i will notice if a 10 will come to the dealer. If I stand he/she will have 10/10 which is 20; thats mean i will draw one box and lose 1 box (no benifit, overall losing) but if i draw the 10 i will lose i box and win one box (overall draw) and the most important thing the table will win.

this method had been proven too many times. Just concentrate and GUESS the right or the nearest to the right.

Mike... As I said the subject of this topic is where to sit and I answered I prefer to sit at last place and provide my reasons, I DON'T CARE IF THIS TOPIC WAS DISCUSSED BEFORE!!!!! I just want to reply with my opinion. If you don't like or accept my opinion, I DON'T CARE!!! IT IS YOUR OWN PROBLEM.

Example is above... if you like more let me know... Don't waste your money and set at the last and GUESS the right GUESS based on Mind and open eyes.

Playing your hands by basic strategy will save you a lot of money over your current method of guessing what the next card is.

It may take you a while to come around to our way of thinking, but I assure you, you will.

or what could happen is you could draw a 10 on your hand and bust, then the dealer has a 6 in the hole draws the 5 (that would have busted your 17 also) gets 21 and you lose both hands and everyone at the table is mad at you because you don't know how to play BS.

Okay Skyboy. You've put me in my place. It's your pulpit, preach it. Maybe you'll convert someone. Sure hope not but it's your privilege to try. I'll try to discuss this no longer with you.

Guessing cards

I've been known to listen to Art Bell from time to time and sometimes he has guests that talk about ESP...I suppose the only way to utilize this skill is to sit at 3rd base.

Skyboy...I'm curious, are you using ESP to "guess" or are you really guessing? Because if you are using some ESP powers that is totally different to me than if you were simply guessing.

Stand on 7,8,9,10

SkyBoy.....You stated "sometimes I stand on 7, 8, 9, 10 to let the dealer bust", how do you know what the dealer's hit card will be and that the dealer will bust. Standing on 7, 8, 9, 10 is a good reason to switch to playing slots instead of BJ. You also stated one reason you do this is to help the table, Rule number 1; blackjack is not a team game. You may be right but if so all others that have studied and played this game for years are wrong, it's like 1 soldier in a parade starting the march with his right foot and the other 74 are out of step because they started with their left foot.

I try to sit at 1st base. I leave 3rd base open in the hope that some body will sit there that is more concerned with making me and the rest of the table money than taking care of his own hands.
Sadly,it never seems to happen.obviously I'm playing at the wrong tables.

.SkyBoy,
You remind me exactly of a women who used to play third base in the casino where I normally play.
When I first join the table she was playing in I did not realise that she was in the middle of an arguement with the women in first base and in the process of scolding her. I tried to calm down the table by saying " C'mon, this is just a game. And let everybody just play their own game". She shot back and said, "Excuseme the name of the game is not for each person to play his/ her own game but to bust the dealer". I pointed out to her that you cannot do that with the CSM equipment on the table. This did not impress her one bit. She says she plays according to her intuition of the game.
As I played on I realise that she doesn't even know Basic Stategy. She also did not know that you can surrender and double down with an Ace card. When she started to turn the heat on me I knew it was time to leave the table.
Well, the good news is she doesn't play B.J. anymore. Just sit beside her husband and see him play. I have no idea why she stop playing.
SkyBoy, could this same fate be awaiting you.

I think Skyboy's future will see him losing quite a bit of money. Doing stupid things like hitting 18 and standing on 8 probably gives the house a minimum 5% edge assuming most of the time you play with some sanity.
