As funny as you think that is, that is precisely how many of the famed and not so famed pros play it. There are many professionals who don't risk a dime of their own money but yet still get large shares of profits. Its a great system to get into, the only problem being, somewhere down the line you would have had to show some real skills to someone to earn the right to play this way. At that point a good skills checkout can be more valuable than anything else in your game. When you can prove to the right people that you are an expert in your system you can lower your variance to zero, and play a much higher stakes game with no monetary consequence. Its not for everybody this is true, but if it is, fuzzy counting and sloppy play won't get you there.
just curious to know. is this scenerio usually a long term deal or is it usually short term exploits? the prospects for the investor would seem nebulous for the short term. maybe the agreement shoots for a N0's worth of play...... again just curious.

You didn't, you were just trying to take what you felt was a ridiculous idea and pitch it because you don't like BJI. I do find it very ammusing how you've materialized your dislike of certain posters into an entire distrust of a whole group of people. Especially since those posters have done nothing other than tell you you are wrong.
It really isn't personal. The BJI people aren't the first ones to realize that there is money to be made from playing the players as well as from playing the game. I just wish they wouldn't pick on novices. It's unsporting.

But really I have no interest in how anyone else in gaming makes their money. I make mine by getting lots of money down on the table when I have an advantage. It pays for my titties and beer, and that's all that matters.

As I have stated before you have it ass backwards as to how this scenario gets played out. The players are the controllers, but you can't comprehend, and its not worth anymore explanation to someone who can't grasp the concept.

You are so cool by the way. Titties and beer huh, why doesn't it surprise me that you would need to buy your female companionship along with your booze.

Funny, you see i would have said that it was targeted more at intermediate players - players who are fairly competent but need some pointers on how to focus their practice to develop the areas of the game they are weak in. Not really specifically targeted at novices, although you could start in far worse places than getting directions from Mike.

It's just a figure of speech. From my second favorite Frank Zappa song. Sorry if that cultural reference is a little beyond your time, next time I'll pick one from Cole Porter. :joker:

I understood the reference there chubs, it doesn't mean you still aren't paying for it though. I'd say in your case you have no choice, so don't fret over it.

All right! Windsor hammered me a couple of years ago, I expect you to take some revenge.

You work hard waiting for those good counts, so don't be afraid to sit down with a small to medium bet when you get one, even though you are just practicing.

*chuckle*

2 cards at a time I could do 20 seconds using KO.
1 at a time was slower due to physical issues, not mental.

once I got to 20 seconds with 95+% accuracy (being off by 1 in 20 decks) I stopped practicing counting down at home.

Well, if its one aspect of card counting that Im good at, this by far, is it. Since were on the subject of showcasing our egos, then by all means count me in.:)

Two card combos: As fast as my hands can turn them. I can count them. This includes the A02 and ace sidecount. Primarily two decks. Ill always take out one or two cards to ascertain my accuracy.99%.
Something I love to do is on the last hand of play, before the shuffle(usually when splitting Xs on a Max bet and the dealer has to draw to a hard 16) is deal the next card face down, before counting down the deck. Then anytime the count ends with +2, Ill know the face down card is a face-card. Then Ill always guess the random face-card as the jack of spades....etc. The one in sixteen times that I get it right, Ill think Im really something special:cool2:

Real play: Theres really no dealer to fast for me. That includes any # of players, any # of decks, and making all the correct calculations, with and ace-sidecount. However, it has taken me many years of kitchen table practice to become this proficient. Dedicated and commited!!!!!!!!

PS. If you ever wondered what somebody looks like. c
heck my profile.

Or more likely, you could pretend you could play and let the pros tell you you ain't worth it. Alternatively you could set up your own seminar where lots of players who ain't gonna make money pay you for some tips and you can tell them how well they play and that they have no worries    Hell knowing how generous you are and how against taking taking money off the rookies you are, you could do it for free. AM the blackjack prostitiute (AMBP) - will give your game a real ego boost even if you can't break even.
Seriously though an intermediate player like youself could really benefit from some tips from Mike or another serious pro - you know help you get some of the realities of the game fixed in your head.

I do eight deck shoes in under 2 min.
If you want some real interesting practice, try backcounting two shoes simultaneously at a casino. It's something I do occasionally, until one shoe becomes significantly more interesting than the other.

Ok so the VERY FIRST shoe I looked over last night hit the key count in 2 hands!! I sat down and had my first wonging experience, I lost the first few hands....but everything went better then planned. At first I had trouble keeping the count for the entire shoe, but I got alot better.....(too many distractions but I really got the hang of it) I didn't wong out of the neg counts, but I learned alot and got some good practice....By the end of the night I could keep the count for the entire shoe, while talking and handling other distactions....I'm looking forward to practicing more at home at counting down 6 decks and wagering according to my banroll and sticking to it.....I think I'll be ready pretty soon with as much practice I've been putting in.....just have to make a few adjustments......

flipping two cards over at a time.....35 seconds.
i think i'm limited more by my manual dexterity than my ability to count faster.
spread em out on the table top and it's no problem to zip right through at 25 seconds lol

Shoes are all I've ever played.....but as for counting, this was my first time wonging in and using indices and using the preferred version of K-O.......I tried using hi/lo a year ago but I needed to start off with something simpler.
