My definition of "spread" has always been the difference between the top bet and the bottom bet in terms of minimum bet units

$25 to $200 is a spread of 8
$5 to $100 is a spread of 20

In other words, if you regularly played 1D 2D and 6D your maxBet would be approximately the same regardless, its the size of your smallest bet that detirmines spread not vice-versa. zg
