I am looking for a good web based tool to help me learn my deviations. I have been using flash cards up until this point but I find I am more of a practical situation learner. I am looking for a program that put me in a hand of blackjack, displays the TC and then gives me the options to hit...
Excellent thank you for posting that. I never knew that if the dealer is showing an ace and you double down that if they hit a natural you only lose your original bet. Very good new indeed I can now double 11vsA comfortably.
I really like the fact that the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission...
It depends where you live and the games in your area.
The rules in my area are quite different then Vegas and there are differences in BS.
The best way to find out the rules in your area is to go to the casinos or call and ask. You could also try asking about the casino conditions in the Land...
Thanks Kid once I move to Edmonton I will update this thread as well even if it is just for our benefit. Very good news about 4 deck at the century  I don't shuffle track so the automatic shufflers will just speed the game along nicely.
I signed up for the advanced videos and found them pretty basic in nature. They offer a risk free 7 day trial so you can judge for yourself I decided it wasn't worth the 20 bucks and they were very accommodating in refunding my money after I gave them some good feedback.
Right now I don't feel I am at a level to play huge spreads. Obviously since practicing in a casino is the best experience available I have been playing 5 dollar min table lately just for practice.
To get the most out of my practice.
I find a fast dealer
I find a busy and loud table...
I am moving to Edmonton soon and any info about the Casinos would be appreciated. I know there are many casinos but I don't see any information about them on this message board. These are the ones I know about. Many of them I have played at years ago when I lived there but I was just a floppy...
I am allowed to surrender against a 10 so I don't really think my strategy changes to much. I surrender 6,6 v 10 7,7 v 10 and 8,8 v 9,10 why do Canadian casinos have to be so weird. Ohh right... they are a casino and like to take my money.
It means I am alllowed to surrender on any card the dealer is showing except for the Ace I am not allowed to surrender if the dealer is showing ace. I have to do this before the first move is made by the first player at the table.
