Hi. A casino I've been to a couple of times here in England does not allow splitting of 5s, 10s or 4s. At the moment I'm a basic strategy player so I wouldn't split 10s or 5s anyway, but if the dealer's up-card is a 5 or 6, I'd like to be able to split a pair of 4s. (DAS is allowed.)...

That makes perfect sense now and what you say reflects the strategy cards for ENHC rule I have. I notice also that with ENHC rule, 8s are not split against 10s or Aces. Must stop telling myself "always split 8s"! Seems to me ENHC is a pretty rotten rule. Thanks for your help.
