Actually I don't see A-7 misplayed much, but I can probably count on my hands how often I've seen 12 against a 2 or a 3 played correctly. When I actually hit them, people tell me I'm messing up the shoe and that I shouldn't have hit.

A few days ago I had a dealer who was cutting at least two decks on every shoe, and for two shoes she cut more than two and a half (over a couple dealer changes when she came back). The next night, I asked a dealer I'm friends with how much they're actually supposed to cut, and he said no more...

It was six decks, and the cut was a little bit more than a deck... probably 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 decks.
