I am a beginner with BS and would like to explain the hand I was dealt in more detail. I split my pair of 8`s against the dealers Ace. Hand 1 drew a 9 so we sit on that. Hand 2 drew 4 & 4 to give me 16. So BS says I have correctly sat on 17 with hand 1 and i`m to take a card with my 16 in hand...

With Blackjack Strategy could I have some advice..Is it better to sit on 16 V Ace after splitting my pair of 8,s getting say (8,4,4). Considering the bank only takes original stake if he gets Blackjack. Cheers Len
