    Over/Under 13 Bet

The max bet on the O/U 13 game is $25.00 I believe. Think I'll get much heat if I am betting up to $10-15 when the count is right?

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

I did read the posts and did not find an answer that was directly on point. There were a few closely related posts, similar to the one sonny posted, but there was none on point to the slight variations I asked about. I believe it was a reasonable question since I was still betting with a...

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

Thanks Sonnny. That is helpful. It is somewhat different than my proposed idea though, which is a quasi-martingale in that it only bets on advantages from a 1-4 unit spread. In other words, there is no chance of going broke like you mentioned. However, I do see that this is still less than...

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

What are you talking about? Did you even read the thread? Zerg posted a well-thought and reasoned critique of the idea and I thanked him for it as it was very helpful. The post was a question looking by a for a serious and thoughtful response, not a statement to go unchallenged by any...

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

Shocking how you refuse to take your own advice. QFIT: " Don't read posts in a forum which has clearly been reserved for bad ideas."

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

I posted this in the Voodoo forum specifically because Martingale is a fallacy and I wanted to know how the method I proposed would work. I believe it was a different type of question than the many martingale posts I read and thus decided to post it. Either way, How can you rant on someone for...

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

Zerg, So, basically the martingale with a statistical advantage isn't a "losing" strategy, but it simply isn't the optimal strategy and therefore not the best is basically what I am getting. Thanks for the answer and explanation. It is sometimes difficult to get an answer around here...

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

Not much help, but thanks though If anyone can offer a detailed explanation that would be nice, actually answering the questions.

Martingale still a fallacy when you have statistical advantage?

We've all heard of the martingale fallacy and how it is a common failure. However, I've considered doing a limited martingale type only when back counting and when I have an advantage. For example: Backcount until the count gets to +1/+2 TC, then play one betting unit and double until lost...

    6 Deck, what system?

Depends on the level 2 count. I would recommend sticking with a level 1 count though. Its easier and less mistakes equals greater EV. The more difficult the system of counting, the greater chances of mistakes in counting/betting and that will reduce your EV.

    Over/Under 13 Bet

Know of any Casinos in the Midwest other than Mystic that offers the over/under 13 bet? Also, if your at a table with over/under 13 betting, would you recommend a hi/lo count or would you recommend using one of Snyder's over/under 13 as more advantageous?

Woops! Apologies to Midwestplayer for making a similar username. I officially changed mine (not as easy as it sounds); hopefully there is not a similar name to this one!

In any case, I'll change my name if he posts here. Until then, I don't see a problem.

Seems to be a tough crowd here. One post and I'm questioned as a casino spy and told I need to change my name because of some former player. :whip: I've tried training a couple people whom I trust, but they seem to lose interest and aren't willing to spend the time memorizing the charts and...
