Well I heard it yet again tonight...after I split 9's vs. a 4..."Why are you splitting a winning hand?". Oh, my answer was...resplitting, making 19, 19 and 20 and winning all 3 hands. :) But I "took the dealer's bust card!" :eek: and she made 17. The only player who lost though was the table...

I sure hope you always hit (or double) soft 17...:)

I sure seem to have terrible luck doubling with A2-3-4-5. Sure seems like I catch those 10's that I want to be getting when I double with 10 or 11. I'm not at all questioning the logic of the play, just my results.

I'll add that I'm surprised you have had sessions where you were the only person even surrendering. I guess the ploppies figure that's just another option that only benefits the casino...but they'll play those horrendous side bets all night long! :laugh: Sorry again for the posting screwup...
