    1 Deck Surrender Strategy

I used to agree. However, after reading Wong's Prof. Blackjack, I noticed that the BS tables all have indexes. This made me realize that based on the count, he calculated what should be done. Of course there's cases where the answer (HIT or stand) is count independent (always hit < 11). Basic...

    1 Deck Surrender Strategy

I'm not really having any problem with your strategy engine; just trying to understand how it works. Why is 7/7 v10 never a hit but 9,4,2 v10 would be a hit? (I just chose that example cuz it's a 15 v 10) I like that 16v10 is RS

    1 Deck Surrender Strategy

The 7/7 vs 10 seemed strange to me when I saw it in Wong's table. I'm not exactly sure why it's an RS but here's what I think: The first strange thing is why it's a SR when all other 14's are a hit. I think the reason for that is that there's already two 7's gone so your chance of hitting 21...

    1 Deck Surrender Strategy

The difference is this: Basic strategy is calculated (I think) based on the current count. What happens with the 16 vs 10 with SR is that: In the case were you have 16 and CAN surrender you should. However, if you cannot SR (i.e. have more than two cards) then you should stand rather than hit...

    1 Deck Surrender Strategy

So then, is the only reason that strategy is different between different numbers of decks the fact that with fewer decks you can get a count of up to +3 (on a 1 deck game) (as opposed to a 6deck game were the highest count from 3 cards is 0.5)?

    1 Deck Surrender Strategy

I have some quick questions about the BS table (1deck, late surrender) of the strategy engine: 1) In the case of a hard 16 vs 10 it says to surrender, but if you cannot surrender stand. Is the reason for this that it realizes that count > 0 (for the independent hand) in the case that your 16...

    Casino Verite Basic Strategy

I know that no casino offers it. However, a guy that I play with, offers it; along with 1 deck game.

    Casino Verite Basic Strategy

I cannot find how to make CV tell me to surrender 14 vs 10 and all those hands that you should surrender in early surrender. It seems that the rules it has are for late surrender.

    Casino Verite Basic Strategy

Yeah, you'd surrender the 17 vs A also. I'm just not sure how to use CV very well. But it confuses me that it doesn't adapt the basic strategy to the current rules. For example, if you've set the Wong High-Low, then it tells you it's wrong to DD the 11 vs A, even in a single deck game.

    Casino Verite Basic Strategy

Haha, no casino obviously offers a 1 deck early surrender game. I'm just trying to figure it out for my own sake.

    Casino Verite Basic Strategy

I'm still confused. In casino verite, with early surrender enabled, if I surrender the 14 vs 10 (as it says to do in other basic strategy tables) it tells me that I should hit. If I look at the basic strategy table, the rules correspond to late surrender rather than early.

    Casino Verite Basic Strategy

I am using casino verite and have put early surrender, 1Deck in the rules. If I look at the basic strategy chart at blackjackinfo it says to surrender 12-16 vs Ace and 14-16 vs 10. However, at casino verite the basic strategy chart says I should only surrender the 15,16. Any help to clear up...
