Humorous non-BJ story from a friend

I guess that is why... Daniel Negraneau once spoke of her as Annie Puke. I have heard many similar stories about that witch.

    Year end results

I played 74 hours of BJ and ended up ahead 51 units. I played about 100 hours of Texas Hold em (mostly online) and finished ahead about $1000 for the year. My New years Resolution is to spend more time at the BJ and poker tables online and brick and mortar.

    N. Nevada Condition Question

Re: Reno vs. Tahoe When I was in North Lake Tahoe in August the Crystal Bay Club had single deck, double on any two (H17 I believe). They did have those computerized machines that track play under the dealer chip tray, but my red chip action didn't bother them.

    My Vegas Trip

Hey guys. Just thought I'd tell you about my Vegas trip last weekend and once again thank everyone for their friendly advice. We arrived at Vegas at 3:00 in the morning on Saturday. We went downtown and entered the Horseshoe as we are both poker players and wanted to see the home of the WS of...

    Questions on Vegas

Thanks Thanks to Mayor and Sonny and everyone else. And just to put it out there, 400 is just my bankroll for the weekend FOR BJ. It is part of a larger total bankroll that I use at my home casino, and am leaving at home. But in Vegas, we will be playing poker as well, and maybe even leaking a...

    Questions on Vegas

Hey everyone. I am headed to Vegas for a Poker and BJ weekend with a buddy. It is the first time I am going in 4 years and the first time since I have become a counter. I am looking for advice or info on the best casinos for conditions. I should say that I am a college student with a BJ roll of...

    about blackjack tournments

I just finished in second place at a BJ tourney in Lake Tahoe. Counting did help me a little bit. I was betting 50-75 a hand and then bet 200 on a very favorable count. I got BJ. In this tourney you got paid 2-1 on BJ. The other guy is right though. There is a considerable amount of luck. But I...

high count -- is it really that good ??

I am pretty new to counting. I have been familiar with it just a couple of years, and been putting it into practice in a Casino for about 8 months. I have to say that I was getting close to losing faith in the beginning. I thought the way that you did. I knew why the player had an advantage on...

    Help With My Math

Thanks, Mayor. The sample size was really meaningless. I just wanted to know if I was calculating the win rate correctly. I just used that one (a collection of sessions I played on the computer) as an example.

    Help With My Math

Am I figuring the win rate correctly here: -945 hands played -6615 dollars wagered (7.0 dollars avg per hand wagered) -220 dollars ahead I calculated a win rate of 3.3% for these 945 hands. Did I figure this correctly? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

    Betting on Neutral Counts

Re: Nor Cal single deck Thanks for the advice, Mayor. I read "Golden Gate" last night and enjoyed it. I am actually writing a novel right now. When I finish it and sell it, if I ever do, my next one is going to be about a male/female counting team.

    Betting on Neutral Counts

Re: Nor Cal single deck It is not super fun. It is single deck, double on any 2, bj pays 3-2, split anything, no double after split. Seems to be no heat. Most pit bosses are young people. It is full of ploppies most of the time. They bus people in from the bay area to lose their welfare check...

    Betting on Neutral Counts

I've heard from so many people that you bet two units on an even count, one on a negative count, and then more on positive counts. My question is this: why bet more on an even count than on a negative count? Yes, even is better than negative, but the house has the advantage on even counts. It is...
