Having fun with the drunk and obnoxious palyer

I agree totally. I like a table where the people chat it up and the dealer has a personality. I still remember the couple from Toronto sitting next to me 3 years ago at the same casino. The guy was hilarious.......and most of us were winning. Back to my guy from lasr night......he appeared...

Having fun with the drunk and obnoxious palyer

I was just at a casino in Northern Michigan.* I sat down to buy in, received my chips and the guy at 3rd base playing 2 hands(with 3 drinks in front of him) asked if I wouldn't mind waiting until the shoe was done.......despite others at the table telling me to play.....I said OK figuring I...

    Graduating to Black

Two weeks ago I was playing at Kewadin in Sault Ste. Marie at a 5-200 table. Two couple and I were playing 5-25 mostly 5-15 per hand. Suddenly somewhat sat next to me and plunked down 4 greens.....hit a BJ and started playing blacks betting 100-200. With 15 seconds the Pit was at my...

    Graduating to Black

I'm sure plenty of people received promos like this. In early August, less than 10 miles away the new Four Winds Casino opened in New Buffalo, MI. It's huge......3,500 machines and 200 tables. I was there on a Friday afternoon 2 weeks after the opening and it was pretty busy.....so I imagine...

    Most misplayed hand?

    EasyRhino.....No, that's more than one mistake...good one.....I'm still laughing.

    Most misplayed hand?

Good point, ihate17.....whether 3rd base plays BS correctly or not doesn't always matter. It's more a case of....did you make the dealer bust or win? It's not always a fair conclusion but I guess it comes with the turf when you play third base.

    Most misplayed hand?

A,7 has got to be one of the most misplayed hands at the table. Last Thursday I was at Kewadin casino in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. They had the whole back section of tables closed and the front section was packed so I could only partake of the happy hour beer prices and watch. I was standing by...

    I am a casino dealer

I like a dealer with personality...who is business like but realizes that we are customers looking for a good time. A little joking back and forth is always fun. In early August I had a male dealer at Kewadin in Sault Ste. Marie that did NOT speak at all! One woman at the table even tried to...

What's the most you've won from the lowest amount?

I was playing at Soaring Eagle last night....bought in with $50 and starting playing 5s. Once I got close to a 100 I started playing 2 and 3 units with an occasional 4 unit bet. After a while I had 2 blacks in my pocket (my rule is that once it goes in my pocket it's gone for the session). I...

    Strategies

Good point, Mike. Most of my BJ action occurs when I visit my parents in northern Michigan. The closest casino is 3 miles from their house. So, when they start winding down around 10, I drive over to play for a couple of hours. If I win $40-50 and have a few beers....I'm happy. The last...

    Cheaters

Thanks, Mike. I usually play a shoe game and I like 3rd base.....occasionally 1st base. I'll have to keep my eyes open for any bonus they'll give me. However, the dealers where I play seem to be well trained and careful. They also seem to have plenty of breaks. This summer I played with a...

    Cheaters

Mike, Is "holecarding" accidentally seeing the dealer's down card?........or something else? What is "first basing." Thanks.

Bathroom Break - Leave chips on table?

I've always left them on the table for a bathroom break....never a problem. Everyone else did also. If I were leaving to eat I would cash out and find another spot when I returned.

    what am I doing wrong?

When I visit my parents there is a casino about 6-7 minutes away, so my playing sessions usually range from 1-3 hours. Basic strategy will be correct over the long haul. In shorter sessions you will have those variations. I've sat down and did not have a win in the first ten hands and the...
