I don't play in vegas, or rather have yet to play in vegas. So, no personal stories from me, but this is probably exactly what you're looking for:

I only hit 16 vs. 10 in negative counts, so even at a neutral count I stand. The "strategy number" for High-Low is stand on CPD >=0, Hit on CPD < 0. As was said above, though, it's a borderline play anyway.
Yeah, absolutely. In pitch games, I've walked away a few times which forces a shuffle and then I conveniently sit back down but I don't play pitch very often, $25+ minimums and 50% penetration where I play.. :(
Don't you think that's creating too much hostility at a table and perhaps that table will be watched more closely? When people (albeit superstitious gamblers, not counters) complain about me sitting out a few hands and come back in (I only do this when the CPD < -2, roughly 2% edge in favor of...
I have only once and it was denied. I didn't like the way the pit boss looked at me so I just avoided asking for a reshuffle from then on. Though, regarding bathroom breaks, always get a bottle of water from the waitress so you can always have an excuse to get up :)

I figured he was lying. Not trying to flame or anything, but what does referring to it as penetration to a casino employee hurt? Granted, I mainly play at Pechanga but it's been my experience that the pit bosses there really don't give a **** about anything unless you're betting black...
Was the dealer **** @ ******? It sounds exactly like him.
EDIT: Not the carelessness and/or deliberate lifting of the hole card, just how you described the conversation. (I don't want to get the one good dealer in the area in trouble :\)
Flat bet $100 and only play CPD >= 3. You should probably still make a good amount of money. Or is part of their restriction you must play all hands? :whip:
While on the subject of Barona....
(I found this thread searching for BJ conditions @ Barona)
I contacted Barona today. I talked to a pit boss named Gino (sp). He informed me that the penetration on DD was "half a deck". I responded with "Awesome, you only cut off 26 cards in your DD...
