shuffle tracking

What do you think about shuffle tracking? Are modern shuffles too complex to obtain much advantage from this technique, or is it a potential way of earning profit at the blackjack table? At times I have attempted to track slugs visually through the shuffle, but whether much advantage can be obtained by this I'm really not sure.
