assuming standard shoe rules in an 8d h17 game what is your ev per tc level? .69 house edge off the hop, is the .5 per tc rough approximation accurate for this game? would TC +1 be .19 against? TC + 2 be .3 in your favour? TC + 3 be .8 in your favour? ty in advance

How can you post this question without naming the count system nor the TC calibration?
And what are "standard rules"? zg

Edit: The sim was only 400 million rounds, so these results, likely are not significant for TC's of large magnitude.

I think its plenty.
How much deviation could there be in a 400M sample? zg

Isn't truncating or flooring supposed to be better than rounding? Thanks though, Southpaw, you are AWESOME that is exactly what I needed. Greatly obliged my good man. You are alright in my books - I don't care what they say about you!

Good to see your virtual presence ZG. How goes the battle?

I once did a brief study on truncating vs. rounding and I found the difference to be absolutely negligible, though it is quite possible that I hadn't tested enough situations. I have never examined flooring. Rounding, I suppose, is just a personal preference of mine.

And you're welcome. Who is "they" and what bad things have they to say about me??

ZG, here are the results again, but this time I included the standard error involved in the calculations of the TBA when the simulation is only 400 million rounds. As you can see, the standard error is quite large for the TC's of higher magnitude. Standard error, for all intents and purposes, is the same as standard deviation.

The results:

Why are you playing an 8d H17 game? I hope you're back-counting, spreading 1-30 or they're cutting a half deck, because otherwise that game is garbage.
