Calculating Playing Efficiency

Hi there,

for the sake of completeness, I need to know how Playing Efficiency is calculated for a given counting system. Could anyone shed some light on this matter?

Thanks!

Not sure

But if I've to define Playing Efficiency for my counting system. I would do as following::

Ev(best)= Best optimal play knowing the exact values of remaining shoe
Ev(count)=Best optimal play knowing the count using all indices..

PE= Avg(EV(count))/Avg(EV(best))

Flat-bet two players..
one playing BEST strategy, other playing best count strategy..
Ratio is giving the playing efficiency.,.,

Hi NightStalker,

Thanks for your reply. However, this was also my conclusion. But if one were to define the "best" strategy to play with a value of "1", this quotient would still not be solvable, atleast not through mathematics (but as you suggested, it is probably possible through simulation).

Maybe it's not the quotient we're looking to solve, but rather the "gain" for PE by removing one card from the deck?
