Good penetration casinos in the Midwest

Hey there,
I know of an exceptional casino in Minnesota that has unbelievable deck penetration. It's southwest of the Twin Cities by about two hours in Morton. The place is called Jackpot Casino and they claim to be the "friendliest casino in Minnesota," and I agree. On a weekend, they normally have about 15 tables or so and all different types of games: DD, 4D, 6D, and all have very good rules (dealer stands soft 17, jumping in and out of shoes is allowed, and whenever the dealer makes a mistake, the players have the option to retract their bets if they don't have a good chance of winning). Their penetration is excellent: DD games they normally cut 60-70% depending on the dealer, and if you find the right one, sometimes they cut it at like 80%! 6D they normally cut it about a deck from the bottom. I would call myself a fledgling yet in the world of counting BlackJack, but I can consistently win and have the records of it. If you ever want ot hook up, I live on the north side of Milwaukee. I'm not a fan of Wisconsin casinos, but if we can get something going I probably woudn't mind them. There is also a good casino in central WI called North Star in Bowler which, if I remember right, had pretty good penetration as well.

60-70% is typical penetration I belive. 60 is nothing special, and 70 is getting into good territory. There are plenty of other places in MN that deal MUCH better than this as long as you are not identified as an advantage player.

I disagree. Jackpot junction isnt that good. They do have .19 DD game for $5, BUT the pene is not that good. I would estimate it at 50-60% RARely do you get better than that. Hardly unbelieveable!! on the 4deck tables they cut one deck-1.5 decks. Now to top it all off they are tough on counters I know a half a dozen people who have been kicked out, and they arent even good card counters. Lifetime losers and they still get the boot. Be aware some of the dealers are also card counters. I would say that the games here are better than average for MN, but not that good! St. croix turtle lake is pretty good in WI comprable to jackpot.

When I went Jackpot Junction I was getting pretty good penetration. That was my first time counting in a casino. I was nervous because I hadnt played in a casino before and I was playing heads up.

It has been several months since I have been there, but it is very dealer dependent. It is the same at Prarie's edge, one hour west of Jackpot. PE has a lot better Card counter tolerance, but dont be suprised if you end up sitting next to another counter on there lone two deck table!

It was also several months ago that I went there. I only played a short session with one dealer so I certainly cant say they have good(or bad) penetration. I think I got good penetration since he thought I was a compulsive gamber. I kept losing every hand and the count would not stop going up each hand. So, like a negative progressionist, I continually increased my bet after a loss. But that was before I realized you needed to have more than 30 units with you to have a decent ROR, so I went broke!

hey BiggieGesus, I too live on northside of beertown. You said you were not a big fan of WI casinos. Have you had any bad experiences at our local sandbox. I have been practicing my AP for bout 3 months (1nce a week), and besides a few annoying aholes to deal with, I have a positive win rate. I have also become chummy with certain dealers and pit personel. Let me know if your interested, pssst, heard from a dealer that the new addition will have 2 deck pitch tables. cha-ching I check this forum several times a week, luvMY$$$
