counting and the basic stratigy trainer

I have been practicing my count with the Strategy trainer on this sight. I have it set to: Hit on soft 17 double any no insurance no surrender 6 decks. I have been using red 7 count. What I have noticed is that in most shoes I only get to a positive count for about 3-5 hands out of about 50.

Am I doing something wrong on the count, or is this normal?
 
That sounds pretty normal to me. Some days you will play through several shoes without any positive counts! If you keep playing then you should begin to approach a theoretical rate of around 26% for positive counts. Card counting is a waiting game. :(
