Crowded DD

I would think just off the top of my head and my feel for the game after 30 years at it that even a crowded DD game would be better than most 6D except maybe heads up. You seem to be getting advantage situations every other deck and that is about every 10 minutes.

I would tend to look at all the options out there and perhaps in one casino play the crowded DD game but in another play the shoe game.
With 60% pen in a casino with 7 spots on a DD game, a crowded table might only yield 3 hands and 4 at most. If the count does not rise till the second hand you will be possibly struck only playing one hand with an edge. If you do not understand the cut-card effect on a game, the dealer shuffling away a TC+5 on a poor pen DD game, will certainly help you understand it.
At the same time, the same casino might offer decent pen on a 6d game and sometimes the count rises early and then you can easily have a half dozen or more handswhere you can bet with an edge, especially when your table is nearly empty.

Evaluate every situation.

I remember in AC about 12 years ago they would always shuffle up on a high count when you bet anything more than your min bet.

Dopple,

12 yrs ago I was spending an enormous amount of time in A.C. betting high limit rooms.

I was half-shoed up and down the boardwalk, I was never preferentially shuffled up on.
