Hi,
As I've mentioned before, I'm essentially a ploppy. I thought I knew BS well. The more I learn about it, the less it seems "basic". Of course, there are variations for all rules and decks, composition dependent plays, etc. I decided to focus on DD, h17, ds, using this bs engine from blackjackinfo.com.
33 v 8 is a hit.
I use CVIndex to generate indices for the game I am going to play. One particular risk averse index surprised me: 33 v 8, split if TC >= -5 (Zen count; I receive similar Hi Lo results). Is the basic strategy for a risk averse player to split 33 v 8?
Any insight on how risk averse play differs from other strategies would be greatly appreciated.
