Easier 1 on 1 or no ?

Do you guys feel its easier to count when your 1 on 1 with the dealer...or easier when there are more at the table ?

I high roll, so a lot of times I find it frequent to be 1 on 1 with the dealer... the thing that sucks is that the dealer is always a 100% focused on ya...so its hard to be nonchalant when looking at the cards & talking to him at the same time. Its actually very hard.... they can see the gears working no matter how hard ya try to act like your not counting.

thoughts ?

Until you get very experienced develope an act, and then develope another act,,,,,never let the dealer push you in any way, if you are uncomfortable leave. Also HR's are not the most talkative since they are playing decent amounts of money and few are there to socialize.

Contrary to what the casino wants you to believe,,,most HR's are not there for entertainment,,,so skip the silly small talk Bull#hit and play how you want to play, in any manner you feel comfortable. Just have at it, you are in a competition as serious to you as the Super Bowl is to some 350 pound meat head lineman.

yea...but the chick dealers & cocktail waitresses in these sections are the hottest. Nuttin worse than losing a lot of money to a hottie. (dealer)

just kiddin...in a way. But there are some dealers I really like at a certain joint & I try to act more nonchalant & less geeky towards when their the dealer...

I guess I should get more serious with them & always count even when their up too.

But back on topic....Generally speaking, isn't it easier to count when there are more at the table ? I'm pretty much a new counter, which is why i'm askin.

I tried it the other night & was able to successfully count the entire 6 decks against the dealer. (1 on 1 ) But the next shoe after, he seemed to know what was up & was asking me all kinds of stupid questions. Like which casinos do I like to go to ? , how long have I been playing? , etc etc...

what am I suppose to say.... Don't bother me, i'm counting ?

Heads up against the dealer is much easier to count. You only have your hand and the dealer's to worry about. You also don't have to worry about the dealer "hiding cards" from you for the guy sitting at 1st base if you're at 3rd (some dealers are very good at this) or scooping up cards when a player busts before you get a look at his last card.

If you can't carry on a conversation and keep the count in your head then I think you need to practice more.

there's a couple dealers i'm really nice to and we always have good conversations...lately they've been dealing slower to me...which makes me wonder if their actually lettin me count cards....hehe

heads up

no doubt..

Who would like to scan the whole table before playing your hand and then keep updating the count as every plop play their hand..

I rarely play with more than 2 plops unless i've wonged into their shoe..

80% of the time i'm able to be solo against the dealer.

The 20% of the time that i'm not.... if I lose more than 3 hands in a row, I stay out of the show. The only times i've lost a lot of money IS when theres other people at my table. They win every hand & I lose every hand. Lost 15 in a row one time that way. I NEVER play seriously when others are at the table. It always F's up my game & odds.

Okay. Reread what you posted and then tell me how many mistakes and/or contradictions you can come up with.
