At a SP21 table that I played in AC recently, a dealer error resulted in an undealt card being exposed. The situation unfolded as follows: When the dealer was playing out her own hand, she accidentally drew another card onto a soft hand that she was supposed to stand on. After immediately realizing her mistake, she removed the card from the the layout, tucked it underneath the shoe, and called over the pit.
It would perhaps add a little more suspense to the story to mention that the card was an Ace, and that I was sitting at first base.
She explained what had happened to the PB and showed him that the card was an A, and to my utter shock and horror he took the card and buried it in the middle of the discards with a ****-eating grin.
He noticed the "WTF" expression on my face and explained, "Sorry, gaming rules don't permit us to allow players to know a card in their hand before they place their bet."
True or false? And more importantly: to throw down with the PB or not to throw down - that is the question. :whip:
