Beyond the heat which I think is hard to avoid if you play index and ramp bets I think there is another adv to 10 split and that is you often get another 10 or two and should in fact resplit if you tc is still high enough.
I have very often pulled in 4x my original by a 4 way ten split often getting all 20s. It happens in real high counts.
