I thought all the $10 MB and MC games were H17 now? Hell, you can't even get a $10 6D game at either place unless it's mid-week, and even then it's H17.shadroch said:
Mandalay games are now $15 minimum. Monte Carlo has $5 games but they are 8D H17 LS.sabre said:Yes, at Mandalay and Monte Carlo
I don't know if I'd say lousy. They were cutting a little over a deck off. Mediocre might be a better term.johndoe said:Yep. MC has lousy games now. Sometimes a single S17 $25+ table, that's it.
Try spreading anything bigger than 1-2 on that Binions game and see how long you last.13Counter said:So Binon's had one single deck table, 10 bucks min, 3:2...about 60 percent pent.
not too bad of a game...
You spread $10 to $100 for 3 hours??13Counter said:Yea, I ran into that since I started out with 100 bucks and cashed out with 700 in 3 hours. Yea they tried to stop me a couple times when I increased my bet from 10 bucks to 100. But the pit boss was nice enough not to back me off, they were talking about me though..
I take it you got heat from there?
I've always found that "playing dumb" act almost meaningless. May buy you a extra minute or two with the pit, but when being evaluted from above, they can't hear a word you say, and more importantly don't care. Asking if I should split 8's or hit on 16 vs 10 or take insurance is almost irrelevent. Doesn't matter what you say, what matters is what you do. Kind of like trying to talk your way out of a back off or barring. Words just don't matter.13Counter said:it helped that my girl was with me and she was talking up the pit boss and I was playing the part of someone who didn't know bj that well...like should i split 8's against a dealer 6...hahhaha
Isn't that game D10 only now?13Counter said:So Binon's had one single deck table, 10 bucks min, 3:2...about 60 percent pent.

yes. It is .44 house edge.SystemsTrader said:Isn't that game D10 only now?
I really don't think there are too many places that evaluate you from above. From the sounds of it, MGM joints seem to do it the most since most people complain about getting barred after 1 short session. I was at el cortez few weeks ago playing DD for 5 hours straight and I didn't get even get an eyebrow raise. Maybe because I was playing low limits? but I was playing $10 to 2 hands of $50. I got check play a lot, but the PCs didn't really think it was an amount to worry about. I played pretty long sessions at plaza and fremont and didn't get too much heat. although what probably helped me at fremont was that I was really drunk(reaaally drunk) and it was 4am. I kept accurate hi opt1 asc count and was spreading $5-$100 on DD!! I kept swaying around and the PC asked if I wanted a player's card. I said YES I WANT A CARD!! NOW!! I was pretty obnoxious, and he asked if I had ID and I asked if he was a cop. amazingly, he gave me a card without ID!kewljason said:I've always found that "playing dumb" act almost meaningless.
