Yes, you could say that about me as I am play more DD. I am going to have to learn all the negative indices I had forgotten all over again. I suppose I could just sit out one or two hands, at least one, every once in a while when the count really tanks. I know about the head and phone calls but you can only leave so often.

Do I look deviant?

I see Asians all the time just tell the dealer to deal around them for a while. And they never get any heat. Maybe if you could look more like a superstitious gambler, you could wong out without ever leaving the table. lol

Right. You can't really be wonging out much in a DD game. A few of the better neg indexes is all you need.

I think that a lot of people that try to count forget or never realize what it's like to be a ploppy.

I have extensive experiance playing blackjack. I know what ploppies do as far as superstition or behavior, etc, etc. because I was one for so many years. It really helps when you've played so many hands from that perspective to play off any advantage play as natural.

Insurance, even though you've been playing perfect basic strategy for the last 40 minutes? Not a problem for me.

I've got an A as my first card, you bet I'm begging for some face for my second.

Side bet? Only if the count is right. But I got a feeling on this one.

Truer words were never spoken.

The same person that thinks it looks conspicuous to wave off a few hands in a negative count (seen ploppies wave off hands countless times), have no issues dropping $200 to insure their hard 15vA (never once seen a ploppy do that ever).

And then surrender it!

I love that play.

I forgot, can you surrender and insure? We know insurance has nothing to do with the bet. It could be a great move on high counts.

That's actually a pretty good question. I suppose that that would depend upon the house rules. If you find a store that even OFFERS early surrender, you'll have to ask the PB whether or not it's allowed.

And you'll also have to bear in mind that once you exercise the ES option, you'll only have half of a bet left on the table, so you'll only be allowed to insure 1/4 of the amount of your original bet, rather than half.
