Hi-Lo DD

Who uses Hi Lo for DD? I have used Hi Opt I before but have been playing only multideck lately and next trip to Vegas I will probably play DD SD and wong some 6D so I would like to use one count so I avoid mistakes. I know Blackwoods recent book touches on this and seems to lean towards using two counts. Thought I would see what some other counters do.
Thanks

From what I heard from zg from asking this same question, HiLo > HO I in both DD and shoe games.

If you wanna learn a count thats good for both, Ive been learning the zen count which is 1 1 2 2 2 1 0 0 -2 -1. Has a tiny bit less BC and a nice ~.1 boost to PC and IC.

How would you side count without changing the other numbers?
I was also wondering a somewhat similar question. What kind of additional value to RC would you put the ace as in a lvl 1 ace reckoned count like hilo and in a semi reckoned like zen?

True, there has been alot of discussion through the years about using a side count with Hi-lo. I have found the Skyhilolo to be very usefull in the DD game, (my own personal experience), as it has over the years allowed me to develope unique plays as well as become very aggressive at certain times.

An example of a legendary play made possible by Skyhilolo, which brought an entire BJ pit to a standstill, was the time with a Max bet out, (DD), I split tens to four hands and pulled aces on all four:cool::grin::):cat:

Very Nice

I could see how that would be a great play with a high count deep into the deck and no aces out. In DD or SD the easiest thing for me to do I think would be to just count using Hi Lo and count aces as-1 except at a point where the deck is ace rich I would ad +1 or ace poor I would minus one for betting purposes not playing. This way the values are the same so I won't risk mistakes when wonging in 6d and jumping to DD but I still can take advantage of the value of the uno. Theres only 8 in DD and I don't even need to count them all only count them when they are coming out more or less than every 13 cards. What do you think?

There is no need or reason to adjust betting for Ace richness in a reckoned count like HiLo -
the Aces count would only be for adjusting the playing strategy. zg
