A couple of day ago I made my first stab at counting at my local casino. I went during the day when it wasnt to busy. Most tables were half full, give or take.
I walk in there, sit at a table with 2 other people and start to backcount. Dealer asks me "are you guna play?" I say, "not yet, I like to bet near the end of the shoe because I find I have better luck" So I backcount the first shoe and only place bets when the count is favorable, small bets. During the second shoe, when the count was at 16 after like 8 rounds, a supervisor walks over and starts up a conversation with me, she wouldnt shut up, I completly lost the count. She finally leaves right as the shoe ended. Next shoe I do the same thing. About 3/4 of the way through when the count was reaching the key, she comes back, watches me then starts to talk agein, just about bull shit like basic stratagy and house edge. After my second encounter I decide to take a break.
An hour later, after a shift change, I come back and do the same thing. This time another supervisor just stands behind the table Im playing at and watches for like 10 mins, then she disapears. I didnt see her agein. By this time I had to leave, work was appraoching.
I ended up $10 dollars down on the day (I was up 90) mostly because I seem to lose the count during play when I have to add up my card total. Anyways, ill continue to practice, and as of now, I wont let my little enconter with the superviser phase me.
