Index Numbers For Australian BJ Rules

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know where I can get a full list of appropriate index numbers (and variations to BS) according to the Hi-Lo Count system for Aussie rules BJ.

FYI, those rule are invariably 8 decks, H17, DAS, No Surrender. Sometimes insurance is offered, but I know that the rule is to take insurance whenever the count is 3+.

Well because I Wong, I use only +ve deviations, and these are what I use as follows:

Insurance +3
Split 10s vs 4 +6
Split 10s vs 5 +5
Split 10s vs 6 +4
Double 8 vs 6 +2
Double 9 vs 2 +1
Double 9 vs 7 +3
Double 10 vs 10 +4
Double 10 vs A +3
Stand 12 vs 2 +3
Stand 12 vs 3 +2
Stand 15 vs 10 +4
Stand 15 vs A +5
Stand 16 vs 9 +4
Stand 16 vs 10 Any +ve TC
Stand 16 vs A +3
Double A,8 vs 5 +1
Double A,8 vs 4 +3
Double A,9 vs 6 +5
Double A,9 vs 5 +6

That's perfect mate. I'd be doing the same (wonging, that is) so these + counts are exactly what I'm looking for.

There are a few more that I've since found that I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on:

Split 3s Vs 8 +4
Split 4s Vs 4 +3
Split 6s Vs 8 +5
Split 9s Vs A +1

I've been looking around the internet for a single source of all the deviations to BS (and it's hard to find!). In case you are interested, this one seemed to be quite good for standard Aussie rules:

I did find some deviations that seemed to contradict others! Not sure why that would be. For example, I saw one page that said Double 9 Vs 7 at +6 (rather than +3).

Hi Serious, I've sent you the possitive adjustments to use at most Austrailian casinos. Just do the opposite at the possitive true count. For example 12 vrs 3 at possitive 3 you STAND insead of hitting. Split 10's against a 6 on a possitive 4.

Crown does not offer a very good game, best conditions in Mahogany room -0.54%. Premium Rooms are -0.65% advantage on BS. whilst main floor varies between -0.76 to -2.4%

I found Brisbane VIP to be the best with good opportunities for other plays as well as counting.

Awesome. Very helpful indeed... Thank you kindly sir. So, let me just check... Mahogany room is open to all? And secondly, how would I get myself into the VIP room in Brisbane? Can I just turn up looking smart?

I wish the Mahogany room was open to all! You need to be a Platinum level Signature club member, or perhaps rock up with $10k cash. Play the Monte Carlo or Maple rooms (0.65% edge). I am not too sure about Brisbane.

I plan a trip to Tasmania in a couple months, very good conditions there! 0.5% HE with 7/8 decks PEN.

Sounds great, but...

Is there a catch? First off, how come the edge is so low? Is it it because of the high penetration? Second, why do other members think you should forget about Tasmania if the game seems so good (I saw the previous threads)?

Tasmania still employs S17, whilst Crown, even in its premium areas, utlilises the H17 rule. The only exception being the Mahogany room.

Tasmania has two VERY small casinos, thats why most people advocate against hitting them. Unless, of course, its a small weekend trip.

With regards to PEN, Crowns standard is about 1.5decks, with good dealers getting to 1 deck. However, in Tasmania, 1 deck is generally the PEN across the board.

Final positive, $30 minimums at Crowns VIP rooms vs $10 minimums in Tasmania where ALL tables get these great rules.

Well I must say that does sound compelling. Let me know how you go... I'd like to hear your thoughts on the place after you've been. Especially the type of heat you get there.
