So i was playing a double deck the other day and I decided to keep a side count of aces on the side just for the heck of it after i ran into 2 other counters who were using side counts in methods other than KO. After a handful of games i found it pretty easy so i actually started to change my betting. I got to the last hand several times with a high count and there were 6 or 7 aces not yet dealt so instead of my 1-6 spread i'd been using i up'd the spread to 8 when the deck was really heavy in aces. It turned out very well for me as i ended up with multiple blackjacks on the 8 bet spread. I know this is a very small sample size to go on but was wondering if this is just a waste or if i could actually increase my EV.
So my question is, does anyone know what this adds to EV? Has anyone modelled or sim'd running a side count with KO before? I assume this increases chance of ruin but i would guess EV would increase as well.
