Lost is space on splitting fives

My beloved UAPC says nothing on splitting fives. Is it always just Double and no split?

This is a big hole in my knowledge it could be in the book somewhere but I love to post and appreciate all the card talk.

I had another win the other night so you will be seeing more of me in the group.

I suppose I am more of a wanna bee than an AP. I still gamble time to time.

I think one idea that helps me when I am up is to value the money but think of it as play money and dont let a loss bother you. Make there money work for you. Play smart and to the book but if you are up x dollars and lose half of it dont sweat it.

What if it were another 5? As the rule of thumb is if you split and get another chance, split again so would you rather have one hand of 15 or three hands with a 5 as your first card?

split if next card if 4,5,6. If next card is 2 or 3 split vs dealer upcard of 7 or less. In a counting situation it would require a specific deck composition remaining , for practical purposes it would not come up.
