Hello, i´m new here, and i have 2 question about the mentor system
1.- in the book of Mr. Renzey there is a table with the index numbers for the Mentor system, my question is : is there another table for diferent rules ? a i´m playing in a 6Decks S17 DAS early surrender against 10s only, 1 split only game.
2.- in Verite software (5) the index numbers are not the same, I asume the book it`s right (BBBJII), right?
thanks in advance for any help
:)

I'm not sure whether Norm's software (Casino Verite) true counts Mentor to the "count-per-2-decks" as in the book, or to the more traditional "count-per-deck". The traditional method would essentially cut the index numbers in half.

The book includes Mentor numbers for S17 and H17, as well as for DAS and No DAS. With early surrender against 10 only, surrender 14, 15, 16, 7/7 and 8/8.

Mentor question 2

First thanks for your time, the Bluebook II was my first book of BJ (the amazon site reviews was 5 or 4 stars) now i own 8 books and yours its the best of them, beetween mentor and zen i choose mentor because i like the system of TC (2D) and the new book of Mr Snyder had a new Zen system with division 1/4D ( not sure its the best choice ).

However i just check Casino Verite and indeed the system dos not support 2D TC count , and just for example in the Hard Double Down table 8 vs 7 have the index number 7 and in your book its 8 vs 6 = 7.

Respect the early surrender question I know the basic strategy but what i need it´s the index numbers in that situation , in your book you explain late surrender very well but what i need to known is if the index number are the same with early surrender.

Again thanks for your time, and greetings from Southamerica (and yes, your book it´s here)

Go to Options-Settings, True Count and set Custom TC on. Click on the Custom button and you will find that the sample custom TC calculation table exactly matches the Mentor calculation method.

Sorry, that was a transcription error. Download the latest update at http://www.qfit.com/downloads.htm to correct.

Doing a quick conversion from Hi/Lo indices over into Mentor, the Early Surrender numbers would be:
14 vs 10 @ 0 TC
15 vs 10 @ -8 TC
16 vs 10 @ -18 TC
7/7 vs 10 @ 0 TC
8/8 vs 10 @ -8 TC

All are with a 2D TC.
