Multiple hands in Ace rich DD

If the DD is rich with Aces I like to spread out to two hands. I should probably spread all the way to three hands as I have a better opportunity to get the BJ and take more of the good cards from the other players.

Just a little note, feel free to post comment if you like.

From what i read you could 150% of what your original bet into 2 hands or as many as you want without increasing your risk of ruin.

the other argument is that by playing more hands you are reducxing the playing time at a high count.

IMO, i like to spread out to 2 hands, as you never know when are players going to jump in ......

There may be a price to pay

Often in a DD game it is easy to know when the last hand is coming. You might know just how close the cut card is to the top or you might be able to accurately figure it from remembering how deeply the dealer dealt compared to what is currently in the discard rack.
Going to multiple hands in this situation might give you a little extra EV but by going to multiple hands you are also increasing the true pen and that is also a little extra EV.
The price you might have to pay for doing this is it may alert the casino to your play and they might shortly figure out that you are counting.

On the other side of the count:
In a similar situation but with a negative count but you are accurate enought to know that the possibility of adding an additional hand would make the current hand the last one instead of having to play an additional hand, it can be worth it to add a second minimum bet hand. Unfortunately, many casinos require a 2X minimum bet on each hand when going to two, and in that case you just stick to one hand. Do not forget your negative count indexes which tend to help eat cards.
