My library is expanding

Well, my luck on the online casinos is continuing, so I've decided to do as I said I would, and 'put some back into it', in the form of blackjack resources.

I already own Proffessional Blackjack by Wong, Play Blackjack Like the Pros by Blackwood, and Casino Verite Blackjack (software).
I just ordered Blackjack Bluebook II by Renzey, Casino Tournament Strategy by Wong, Beat the Dealer by Thorp, Blackbelt in Blackjack by Snyder and a couple of poker books. I was going to get Theory of Blackjack by Griffin, but it had a 4-6 week wait.

I'm currently looking to buy some software for sims and RoR and stuff like that (CVData + CVCX or BJ Risk-Mgr?) so if you have any suggestions/recommendations, let me know. :D Also looking for a program to make BS charts for different rule sets (pretty simple).

So, are these the books we should be reading? I know Thorp's is outdated, but its a must have classic I think, as is Prof BJ by Wong.
What do you guys think are the best books to read/own?

Since you already have CV, go with the other CV modules. And any questions that arise pose them to QFIT right here in this forum... or actually pose them, these and other card-counting questions in the CORRECT FORUM! Cape'ce?

Thorp, yes. Snyder, yes. Griffin, no. zg

Thanks for your reply ZG. I think.
So I guess I shouldn't bother chasing up Griffin.

Go take a chill pill ZG, I think this IS the right forum. My questions were not specifically about counting, they were about books and software, which I admit are mostly about counting, but not all of them, so I decided to put it in the General Blackjack Forum!

Card Counting

Aussie,
zg's advice is correct except your posting in an incorrect forum. Your post stated nothing about counting cards and there is not a forum on this site specific to books or software so I would also post as you did in "blackjack general". I don't know why a few members here feel they have to criticize other members asking a legitimate question, this site was developed to help each other not belittle them. To quote zg "thats Bull***t". Cape'ce?

I would think that one of the CV modules would do it, ask QFIT. If not I use Excel then cut/laminate. zg
Yeah, I'll look into and probably buy the CV modules. I just wanted it so I can figure out correct BS for uncommon rule sets when I'm travelling.

I think with that collection of books and CV software you should be in a good position to take your game as far as you want to push it. I have all of the books you mention execpt Thorp's. Would not bother with Theory Of Blackjack unless you are REALLY REALLY into numbers. Knock um dead.
