Need Advice From Some Pros PLEASE!

For years I have been trying to get something going.. I had a couple great local games which were nice until I got the good ol' heave from one and the other I am sure would do the same if I kept going because they share info.

I just returned from Vegas only to find heat at the only decent games I found with crappy rules at all the busy games without heat.

Would my time be best spent doing something else? Is it really possible to make an extra say 5-10k a month at this? I mean I know it is mathematically possible but without getting banned everywhere?

I feel like the only way to make it worth the time is to either spread way less so you don't get caught, we all know that kinda screws things. Or play with a half a mil BR and play 15 min. sessions for 10-15 hrs a month so you don't get caught? Or a BP team? Those seem to be the only logical answers in my opinion.

Is it really possible to grind out around 100 hr in Vegas these days for say 40-50 hrs in 8 days or something similar?? Can you even spread 8-1 on DD or 10-1 6D for more than 15 min a stop? I even resorted to all sorts of cover plays at one spot only to get the same heat and dealt two hands only towards the end on SD while HU. I was spreading not more than 4-1. Plus opening with 4u bets, plus even doing some dumb against the book moves and still... Do all the freaking dealers count there too now or what?

I was getting glares at a 4-1 spread on a DD game too with a "that was a plus shoe" comment from the dealer? Maybe I need to change my look or something or??

A little frustrated if you can't tell. Looking for some honest advice. PM if you'd like..

Thanks

'Need advise from some pros please'. Can you define Pro? Just kidding (on-going joke)

Sorry to hear that your trip didn't go as well as you had hoped. Counting dealer. Yeah there are some. I personally haven't found it to be much of a problem. Sounds like you just ran into a smart ass. Maybe he was bored. August and Decemeber are the two slowest months in Vegas. 8-1 spread on DD. Pushing it a little. 10-1 spread on 6 deck. Usually isn't a problem if you play short sessions. Shouldn't have to be 15 minutes or less though. Especially if you haven't put out your top bet. I play 30-45 minutes or until the end of shoe with max bet. I haven't experienced the kind of heat you speak of. I have been away about 5 weeks now. Maybe things have changed. :(

Now about your wanting to make an extra 5-10K per month. Just to clarify. When you say 'extra', I assume this means you have other means of income like a job or business, and would be doing this parttime, so how much time are you going to be devoting to making 5-10K?

A Simple Function

The more you play, the bigger you play, the more aggressive you play, the more you have to spread your play around!:joker::whip:

The key here, is that you are trying to do VEGAS. That is not recommended for a part timer, half serious player like you and I. The best counter catchers are in vegas only because the best counters are there. I get heat but I still was able to stay and play for 6 hours at the el cortez. Maybe because I'm charming, maybe because I look like an idiot. either way, work on your act.
Read "burning the tables in vegas" for some clues.

If you are in Socal, there are other places and better games with less heat that you can find.

The best way to play in Vegas is back-counting. Don't spend more than an hour on any shift, and you can probably play 8 days without much heat, assuming you're below the black chip level.
