PA. casino review

I see alot of threads on the stores in PA are they really all the same because if they are they will have to change or take a hit on profits. I went last night to a early morning scout trip to one of stores and nothing changed. I finished up at one in another state and stopped to rescout the place out and it still had bad everything. The high limit was an insult to the player as far as I'm concerned. If this is PA's answer to blackjack it won't last as long as they think because even non-aps are complaining about constant shuffle change outs.

What happened on your trip? For me, I haven't seen they do one shuffle change out yet; maybe I was just lucky. I don't play in the HL area though.

I play at the Rivers and the Meadows. They only shuffle when the yellow card came out.

Mea culpa for the misconstrening on my part. I meant that the pen was horrible in fact almost unplayable. Three decks cut out for eight and two plus for the six deck. You would think that they would offer better in the high limit but no. I have seen dealers place the cut card almost halfway thru the shoe so with a full table it didn't take long before the cut card came out. The last surrender is a plus and s17 is good but I don't know if that is really enough to overcome the pen problem.

Here at sands it's usually 70-80% pen. normal is about 75%. So just a tad better for the eight decks.

All other tables are 8-deck with 7-player spots....min $5 and up.


If I had the bankroll......I'd be in Erie PA in the HL area.

Can HL ban a player who won BJ almost 100%? I begin to worry my local casino will never let me play BJ again at their house. Since its opening last week, I am 9 for 10 and have won thousands of dollars. Am I too greedy? I am thinking I will just visit them no more than 2 times a week starting next week.

One young fellow is especially aggressive. Even I just pause for 0.5 second to think, he pitched the card to me right away even though I did not give him any signal. He totally own me, knowing I won't ask for the pit boss and create a scene. And I tipped him well, at least $25 a hour.

You're tipping $25/hr? What's your EV? Even if you're spreading 100-1000 you're probably at best in the $200/hr range. So you're comfortable tipping 12.5% of your winrate? Wow ... sounds pretty unchristly ridiculous to me. And why aren't you using a player card? You're giving up huge comps ... do you think that's gaining you longevity?

Only to this young fellow. I tipped him well, at least two times more than other dealers, in hope to keep him quiet and not make fun of me being a super accurate card counter. Right now it is very difficult to get a seat so I spread 1x to 8x and play for hours. (But if I had a winning session, I always left the table at 2 hours mark.) The only exception is that the true count is +5 or higher and I know I can play at least 4 more hands, then I made an excuse being late for something, jumped to 20x and leave the casino at the end of the shoe.

I felt a lot of heat on last trip. The pit boss stood by me and let me know he was counting my chips every 5 minutes. Also he was typing to the computer the size of my bets for an extended of time. How far away am I from being barred to play BJ? Can PA casino ban a player for being good?

I wouldn't backcount a game with that pen much less take a seat. I hope people are smart enough to not play at such games-but I doubt they are in fact. Sad.:joker:

No, unfortunately, I can't. However, I can say I know of two players who were asked not to play blackjack (I'm don't believe they were formally barred).

I don't know if it's quite "unchristly ridiculous". I think Jesus would tip $25/hr. Although he uses hi-opt 2 with 4 side counts and Chuck Norris is his spotter.
