Playing rated on someone else's card. Good idea?

One day as i sat down at a table to play, the pit boss handed me a players card. He must have assumed i was the gentleman playing before. I kept the card. Should I bother using this card for cover and to get comps? I want to make sure I can't get in trouble using it. So I'm wondering:

Does a picture I.D. come up when they swipe you in? (Making it obvious it's not my card)

If I got comped, would I need an I.D. to claim whatever I get/want?

Thoughts on the situation?

You will probably need at least his pin number, and often an ID for most transactions. It's really not worth it.

You can earn the card holder comps, but you most likely won't be able to use them yourself. You'd need a PIn at a minimum, and usually an id.

I've used other people's comp cards, and have even spent them (without ID... some of the people who know me at the store don't have an issue with it), but the card is under a friend's name.

Spending someone you don't know's comps is a great way to get arrested.
