Suppose I play with a friend and the deal is we combine bankrolls and divide winnings (or losses) evenly at the end of play. Is it advantageous to play at different tables vs. the same table?
Yes play different tables only. However there are exceptions, like during a very good count and say you are playing one spot then another spot at the other end of the table opens, call your partner in.
Optimal bet totals
A remedy for that is vary your betting units not as an individual but as a team dependent upon what the first player bets. example... your optimal betting unit is five for the current count so instead of both of you raising your bets to five which if both of you are using one hundred dollar units that would be five hundred each to keep it simple, both of you together would be a thousand, so one player bets seven the other three and so on and so forth, which would also seem like a good way method of camoflauge.
